About

American voters have lost control of the foreign policies and foreign activities of the US Federal Government (USGovt). These policies and activities now present an existential threat to humanity; changing them is imperative.

Federal legislators and regulators at the highest levels of the USGovt have been deeply corrupted by money from the National Security Complex, Transnational Corporations, foreign nations and the golden revolving door between them and the USGovt.

Change can only come from below: from morally outraged Americans demanding a saner foreign policy.

Voting, while still essential, is no longer sufficient to effect the change necessary.

Hundreds of thousands of American activists are already involved in programs attempting to change the direction of American foreign policy. However, like the civil rights movement of the 1960s, these activists need the support of millions of morally outraged Americans if they are to be successful. The forces opposing them are infinitely greater now than they were six decades ago.

“Conscience of a Citizen” is a part of my contribution to stoking that moral outrage.

I plan to focus on:

  • The current and historical activities of the USGovt/”National Security State”/USMedia as this “Deep State” complex, together with its foreign allies, continue to fashion a criminal world wide campaign of propaganda and false flag attacks intended to create mythical “enemies” bent on destroying the United States.
  • The hundreds of covert and dozens of public wars instigated by the USGovt since the end of WW2 sold, on false pretenses, to an unsuspecting or inattentive American public, to “defend ourselves” from these “enemies” by forcibly converting them to “free and democratic” nations whose laws are designed to nourish US corporations.
  • The once secret, now public, USGovt policies of world conquest originally created by corporate attorneys in the US State Department (Acheson, JF Dulles…) immediately after WW2, and amplified during successive US administrations.
  • The complicity of corporately owned and financed US main stream media in trumpeting USGovt propaganda, lies and deception intended to engineer the consent of my essentially decent, inattentive fellow citizens to a policy of perpetual war.
  • The work of a small number of independent historians, journalists, authors and activists as they attempt to present the truth about USGovt objectives and activities.

I plan to supplement this WordPress blog “Conscience of a Citizen” with links to other social media tools like Tumblr and Facebook.

About

The blog is about the dichotomy between the perfidious nature of United States Government (USG) foreign policies (FP), and the essential decency of the American people.

I ascribe this wide gulf to the (sometimes culpable) ignorance of everyday Americans about the reality of the rest of the world, and a knowledge of USG FP policies and their effects on that world.

USG FP, particularly since WW2, is created, in secret, for the benefit of US corporations and the US “Defense Department”. Corporate, military and USG spokesmen routinely lie to the American people about the aims of USG FP and the details of its implementation.

These lies are embedded in a daily propaganda barrage created by corporately owned US Main Stream Media (MSM), which fashion a mythical world intended to engineer the consent of “everyday” Americans to the broad outlines of USG FP.

I plan to post the usual short blog style pieces, culled from US MSM, non MSM and foreign news sources about selected current “crises du jour”, supplemented, for some of those crises, with much longer pieces intended to “contextualize” them.
